Who this policy covers

This policy applies when you use Kuza Score websites and products, including markets, news, radio, research, data products, professional tools, and account services. Kuza is the data controller for personal data it determines how and why to process. Contact us through the contact page for privacy requests or questions.

Information we collect

We process identifiers and contact details; account, authentication and security records; market proposals, trades, positions, payments and payout records; communications and user content; product preferences; device, log and approximate location data; and information supplied by partners where lawful. Payment processors receive payment details; Kuza generally receives references, method, status and limited account data rather than full card credentials.

Why and on what basis we use it

We use data to perform our contract with you, operate products and payments, settle markets, provide support, and keep accounts secure. We also process data to meet legal obligations, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, improve services under our legitimate interests, and send optional marketing or use optional analytics with consent where required. We do not use consent where another lawful basis is more appropriate.

Sharing and international processing

We share only what is necessary with hosting, database, security, communications, analytics, payment, professional-adviser and regulatory recipients. We may also disclose data during a corporate transaction or where law requires it. Kuza does not sell personal data. Where data is processed outside Kenya, we use safeguards required by applicable law.

Retention and security

We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including statutory financial, tax, anti-fraud and dispute periods. Market and payment ledgers may be retained longer where integrity and legal duties require an auditable record. We use access controls, encryption in transit, logging and vendor safeguards, but no system is risk-free.

Your rights

Subject to Kenyan law, you may ask to be informed, access your data, object to processing, correct inaccurate data, erase data, restrict processing, receive portable data, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. We may verify your identity and may retain data where a lawful exception applies. See the ODPC guidance on data-subject rights.

Cookies, children and updates

Optional cookies remain off until consent where required. Kuza is not intended for children, and real-money market participation is limited to eligible adults. We may update this policy and will show a new effective date or provide additional notice for material changes. Read the cookie policy or contact us through the contact page with a privacy question.
